Today, on March 10th, we left the high school at around 4am to go to Calais to catch the ferry. We were late for two ferries because there were multiple other school buses that had to pass customs. We took the ferry that left around 10:30am and arrived at Dover around noon. On the ferry, we ate an english breakfast, with a choice of sugary or salty foods. We also had a kind of “scavenger hunt” to find different things around the ferry. For example, a souvenir shop selling typical things of the UK, the biggest Toblerone bar on board, and take pictures of the sea.
When we got to the UK, we got back on the bus to drive for 3 hours to get to Cambridge. At Cambridge, we had some time to walk around the city, explore and eat lunch. A couple groups found some Dinky Doors hidden around the city and were rewarded with chocolates. Then we got back on the bus to drive 3 hours to go to York where we were sent to our host families for the night.

Today, in the morning we visited the city and we went to the York castle museum where we learned the history of the city. Then we went to eat, and, we had two hours of free time.
Finally, in the afternoon we went to the Jorvik Viking Museum where a Viking village is reconstructed and where we visited it on a train, and we had free time to visit and find the statues of cats in the city.

In the morning, we wake up to take the bus for a two-hour journey. We also took a traditional old bus. We went to an old village called Beamish Living Museum. The first place was a town that looks like it would have in 1900.
We visited old shops, like a hairdresser and an electrical store. We also visited a police station and houses where we can search into the cupboards to get a sense of what life was like for people in 1900.
Then we went to an old village and while half of the group was eating, the other half visited a church, houses and old trains. We have to take some fun and original pictures with strange objects and Jeanne and Axelle took the best pictures.
After lunch, we had the choice of returning to the village or going into a mine. In the mine, we wore helmets to protect ourselves.
Then we took the bus back to the village in the morning, Beamish Living Museum, we walked around and went into the houses. We visited reconstructed old houses, we saw dentists, old printing presses. We also saw stables, shops like bakeries, confectioneries and then a clothing store. We also visited a bank and wrote with an old fountain pen. Then we took the bus again for 2 hours to return to our families.

First we took the bus that took us to Manchester, most specifically at the Manchester Science and Industry Museum. Trough the visit we had the chance to discover everything about the industrial revolution such as new technology like computers, steam engine. We also got to learn about their harsh conditions of work but also how the industrial revolution got to help them by having easier work’s conditions!!
In the afternoon, we played a little game in Manchester. Street art is one of the main cultural elements of the city, so we had the opportunity to see some during our free time in the city until 4pm. Then we all went back to our families where a haul of our shopping was in order 😉

Today, on the morning we take the bus at 8am for Canterbury. Once at our destination, we had to go around the cathedral to finish completing our notebooks. In the afternoon we had free time and therefore we had the opportunity to visit the streets of this wonderful city. To remind us we had a beautiful group photo. All the day , we took the bus because its over. In the afternoon we are going to the ferry, where we had a time for finished our notebook and make our last purchase. In this ferry we ate our dinner. When we are arrived in Dunkerque, we are leaving in the direction of Eu. And this is the end of this trip.
Thanks to our professors who had organised this unforgettable trip. And a little thought for the best bus driver Greg. Forever in our hearts.
